Rumney Baptist Church exists to share the love of Christ with everyone at home and around the world. We seek to accomplish this through the ministries of the church that we offer to both the congregation and the community.

How are we doing at making disciples? While it is easy for us to become preoccupied with running programs and planning meetings, we must remember that the goal of the church is to make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28:19).
How can we tell if we are making disciples? Jesus said that a disciple…when fully trained will be like his teacher (Luke 6:40). A disciple of Jesus will pattern his/her life after Christ and do the work He did – making disciples.
How do we go about making disciples? We reach out to them with the Gospel and baptize and teach or train them to be like Jesus, so that they will also make disciples of others. This is the primary objective of all that we do as a church!
Who is responsible for making disciples at Rumney Baptist Church? We all are! It is a team effort. For example, those who serve in nursery or children’s church enable parents to attend a worship service where they will be exposed to the gospel.
During the past year some families have become part of our church family before coming to faith in Christ. We all have a hand in welcoming and accepting them and demonstrating God’s love for them.
Let’s pray that the Lord would move among us so that we will make many disciples this year. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if each one would reach one for Christ in 2014!
