Rumney Baptist Church exists to share the love of Christ with everyone at home and around the world. We seek to accomplish this through the ministries of the church that we offer to both the congregation and the community.

Vision for Home-Grown Missionaries
It is important for a church like ours to reflect on our “reason for being.” What does the Lord expect His church to be doing? The answer is obvious from our “Great Commission” – Go and make disciples of all the nations – beginning in our Jerusalem.
How did the early church accomplish this mission? We see the church in Acts reaching out by showing the love of Christ and by sharing the Gospel of Christ to the community. As people came to faith in Christ, they were enfolded in the family of Christ (Acts 2:37-42).
What does this look like for our church? Every member of the RBC family takes up the mission of Christ, whatever their age and employment. We begin by praying for the people we work with and go to school with that God might open their hearts to receive the Gospel. We trust Him to grant us opportunity to share Christ with them.
It is important that we see ourselves as Christ’s missionaries: If you work for the hospital or the state or the school - that is your mission field. If you are a student at the grade school, high school, or university - that is your mission field.
Our commitment as a church is to faithfully make disciples of all who come to us through Alpha or Awana, through worship services, or women’s or men’s groups. As we are intentional in doing our part, the Lord will bring seekers to us and bless them with new life in Him.
Rumney Baptist Church has completed its phase 2 of the building project by connecting the original church building with the Ministry Center building. This new connector building houses the pastor and secretary's offices, a conference/resource room, a custodial closet and a new welcome center. Local contractors and businesses were utilized for much of the work from the structure itself to the final touches of paint and carpet. We invite the community to come in and take a look around during our open office hours.
