Thoughts on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:6-7).

We are transfixed with the constantly changing updates and news about the pandemic that seems to still have no solution. However, we also know that God’s Word impresses on all that God is in control, we are His creation, and His promise is that He will be with us through the valleys of darkness and fear. His love is beyond compare, and He seeks our trust in difficult times, for He cares for His creation. He also provides wisdom through His Word, the Bible, to which we can turn for comfort and wisdom to make hard decisions. Only as we seek His loving guidance can we do as the scripture above suggests.

WORSHIP IS SUSPENDED at the physical church building

Rumney Baptist Church seeks to do all we can to protect and care for our church family and our community. Thus, we have suspended Worship and other gathering activities. We are also working on ways that we can provide opportunities for online gathering to offer support and encouragement during these times of “social distancing.” Once we have the technology framework in place, we will post information on this web site.

RESOURCES FOR MINISTRY

Our leaders are currently researching ways to minister to church families and the community in practical and spiritual ways. If you have need of assistance, spiritual or merely someone to talk through this experience, we are available. You can email us at office@rumneybapitst.org or call the church at 603-786-9918. We are checking messages daily.

We also encourage you to consider accessing our Right Now Media resource for devotional materials, children’s resources, and other media. For families with children now at home this is a great way to focus on God’s Word together.

We will continue to offer more information and resources as they are available.

"Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." (Psalm 100:3, 5)
